The Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson dealer has changed the upcoming Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally dates, the new official rally dates are May 18 through May 28.
The original rally date started a week earlier on May 11th and ran through May 20th. This change seems to have left many rally goers in a state of confusion.
According to one local business owner, the weekend of May 11 will be a much more lighter, more relaxed weekend with the events organized by Jamin Leather and other local businesses. Then, followed by two busier weekends during the official Harley “Cruisin’ the Coast” rally.
The date change runs the Harley rally over into the Memorial Day weekend, where the city of Myrtle Beach has started to sponsor more family oriented events and the Atlantic Beach Bike Fest usually draws it’s largest crowds.
The annual rally is just starting to recover from the Myrtle Beach helmet law that was enacted several years ago, that law was eventually thrown out by the South Carolina Supreme Court.
As of this posting, Horry County will issue vendor permits for the Harley rally from May 14 through May 20.
